An Ultramagnetic Production
For decades, Wal-Mart was the world’s largest private employer and most successful company based on a philosophy of low prices, and even lower wages.
The company’s negative impact on workers, suppliers, and downtown main streets became apparent in the early 2000’s, and triggered an organized backlash to try to tame the a 30 billion dollar corporation. Wal-Mart Nation takes an irreverent look at the activists, professional political organizers, under siege communities and even a former ex-Miss America united in their determination to take on Wal-Mart and fight for better wages, equal treatment for female employees, and “Beast of Bentonville” (Wal-Mart’s Arkansas home office).
